Jumpstart 2014: Day 2

Hello!

Ready for day 2?

Don't give up!!! Think of your RRA (Reason, Resove, Action)!

So in Day 2, it's:

Lemon Green Tea
A cup of green tea with the juice of one lemon or lime squeezed in (sweetened to taste – but not with refined white sugar)
This will help prepare you for the day. It will boost immune system, balance PH, aid digestion, acts as a gentle diuretic (which is the aim of the jumpstart, right?), hydrates the lymph system, clears the skin, curbs appetite

5 medium apples, 2 large stalks of celery, 2 peeled oranges (356 calories)
Could help prevent breast, liver, lung, colon cancer prevention, lower cholesterol, reduce water retention

Tea
Green Tea with a teaspoon of spirulina
This is liquid sunshine for the human body!
Spirulina algae is a super food . It gets its unique greennish color from a combination of Cholorophyl (green), Phycocyanin (blue), Carotenoids (orange).
It contains the most powerful combination of nutrients known in any grain, herb or food, is 60% protein without any fat or cholesterol.
It is the only one of two foods on the planet that contains a rare essential fatty acid called Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA) which is also found in mothers milk!
It has more than 10 times the betacarotene than carrots – making it excellent for your eyes and skin (read my post on carrots)
It helps improve your nerves and tissues, your eyes, protects your bones and much more

If these don't work for you, remember you can find alternatives at: http://juicerecipes.com/recipes/

Snacks
  • Nuts – why not prepare some trail mix and have this handy should you need a pick me up
  • Apple & peanut butter – no more than one apple and a tablespoon of peanut butter though!
  • More herbal tea…

Don't forget to update your diary.

  1. I.must say today went much better than yesterday. Still a bit of sleepiness but more bursts of energy. Especially after my noon juice. I do now have a headache, but I hear it's to be expected and that tomorrow will be much better. I did take some Panadol for the headaches.

I am really upset that I haven't gotten any work out in so far. But I'm optimistic coz there's five more days. So, here's to hoping in God who gives me strength.
