Jumpstart 2014: Day 3

We are doing GREAT! Almost half way there...

...since I post this before the actual day, I will have the perculiar pleasure of commenting on my posts - nothing much, just sharing on how I am doing and if I overcame the temptation to cheat!

I am thinking that the good bacteria in our tummies are singing our praise right about now, yes?
 

So, in Day 3 we have:


Wednesday

Lemon Water
A cup of hot/warm water with the juice of one lemon or lime squeezed in
This will help prepare you for the day. It will boost immune system, balance PH, aid digestion, acts as a gentle diuretic (which is the aim of the jumpstart, right?), hydrates the lymph system, clears the skin, curbs appetite

Morning Glory
1 apple, 2large beets, 2 carrots, juice of 2 lemons/lime, crushed ice (153 calories)
Could boost stamina, lower blood pressure, improve digestion, reduce water retention
Noon
Mid-Day Delight
2 large apples, 2 carrots, 1 handful green veg (eg spinach or fresh moringa leaves), ¼ inch fresh ginger, ice cubes
Could improve eyesight, digestion, reduce water retention, lower blood pressure, improve bone health
1500
Creamsicle
2 medium sized apples, 1 medium sweet potato, 3 large stalks of celery, 1 peeled orange, 2 peers (I don’t like confluence pears so I use avocado), 4 ice cubes(342 calories)
Could help digestion, lubricate joints, improve heart health, calm the nerves,
1800
Super Detox
3 carrots, 1 stalk celery, 1 handful parsley, 1 medium sized cucumber, ½ cup of water, 2 ice cubes
Could help digestion, improve eyesight, reduce water retention, improve complexion

Tea
Sweetened chamomile tea
Helps calm you and hydrates your body

Snacks
  • Nuts – why not prepare some trail mix and have this handy should you need a pick me up
  • Apple & peanut butter – no more than one apple and a tablespoon of peanut butter though!
  • More herbal tea…
